Layering is Key
Layering is definitely the key factor in transitioning your wardrobe. Cardigans, jumpers, and tights combined with your Summer dresses will be your best friend. Once the temperature starts to drop off, Summer dresses with sandals may become a little too cold to wear outside. However, adding a pair of tights and flats or ankle boots can keep you stylish and warm as well!
If you own a sweatshirt/jumper, another Autumn outfit idea would be to pair them with shorts. Pair that with boots of your choice and you have another perfect Summer to Autumn outfits. Blazers and denim/leather jackets are another layering idea. Adding one of these styles of jackets to an outfit can be an excellent transitional for any of your Autumn outfits 2024.
Layering pieces are ok to do. It’s just finding out what layering works best and what you feel comfortable wearing. Think about which pieces are in your wardrobe and figure out which items are good for layering.

Accessories are a Must
A scarf, a hat, a beret, a wrap and even a pair of gloves are good accessories to have during the transition from Summer to Autumn. Accessories can add warmth to any outfit. Adding a scarf will make an outfit seasonally appropriate for the time of year. Switching your straw hat to a felt fedora can complete an outfit!
Dresses All Year Round
Yes, dresses can most certainly be worn all year round! During the Spring and Summer, dresses are usually styled with open-toe sandals, wedges or sneakers. However, when it comes to Autumn Outfits 2024, you may look at your Summer dresses and immediately want to pack them away.
As we said previously, dresses can be worn with tights – even the Summery ones. If the dress has a low-cut neckline, wear a T-shirt underneath. Again, this flows back to layering. Layering is the principal here.
