Exclusive Interview with Weartwo Founders Justine and Maddy

If you’ve ever stared at a wardrobe full of clothes and still felt like you had nothing to wear, you’re not alone. After years of working as personal stylists, Justine and Maddy realised the problem wasn’t that women needed more fashion—it was that they needed smarter pieces that worked harder. That insight inspired Weartwo, a capsule fashion brand built around versatile, timeless essentials, including their innovative ‘jump-set’ concept, which offers the polished look of a jumpsuit with the practicality of separates.

In this exclusive interview, the founders share why capsule dressing is the secret to effortless style, the wardrobe staples every woman should own, and how they’re helping busy women simplify getting dressed without compromising on style.

As stylists, what made you feel there was a gap in the market for a capsule fashion brand like Weartwo?

After years of working as personal stylists, we noticed that most women weren’t struggling because they lacked clothes – they were struggling because they lacked the right clothes. Their wardrobes were often full, but they still felt they had nothing to wear.  We don’t believe women need more clothes; we believe they need better solutions.

There was one recurring frustration we heard time and time again; women loved the effortless look of a jumpsuit but hated the practical realities of wearing one. That insight led us to create what we call the ‘jump-set’, a deconstructed jumpsuit – coordinating separates that give the streamlined look of a jumpsuit but with the comfort, flexibility and practicality of individual pieces.

That insight highlighted a wider gap in the market for beautifully made, versatile pieces that worked hard in real life. Women wanted clothes that looked stylish, felt comfortable and could take them from work into the weekend, for travel and social occasions, all without needing a completely different wardrobe for each. Weartwo was created to offer exactly that: a thoughtfully edited collection where everything works together.

Who is the “Weartwo woman” and what problems were you hoping to solve for her wardrobe and everyday style?

The Weartwo woman values style, but she doesn’t want to spend hours thinking about what to wear. She’s busy and wants clothes that make her feel polished without sacrificing comfort.

Many of our customers are navigating busy lifestyles, changing bodies and, often, changing temperatures. They want clothes that are flattering, breathable, easy to wear and versatile enough to adapt to different occasions. We wanted to remove the daily guesswork and create pieces that make getting dressed feel effortless.

So many women feel overwhelmed by trends and overstuffed wardrobes how does capsule dressing make getting dressed easier and more confidence-boosting.

A capsule wardrobe shifts the focus from quantity to quality and versatility. When everything works together, getting dressed becomes quicker, easier and far less stressful.

Rather than standing in front of a wardrobe full of options and feeling overwhelmed, women have a collection of pieces they know fit well, suit their lifestyle and make them feel good. That confidence comes from knowing that whatever combination they choose will work. We’re also seeing more women question the cycle of buying one-off pieces that are worn once or twice and then forgotten. A capsule wardrobe encourages more thoughtful purchasing – investing in versatile pieces that can be styled multiple ways and worn for years rather than seasons. It’s better for your wardrobe, your wallet and ultimately the environment.

When designing your collections, what pieces do you believe every woman should own to create an effortlessly chic wardrobe?

We believe the foundation of a great wardrobe is a small collection of versatile pieces that can be dressed up or down with ease.

For us, that includes a versatile blazer, a flattering pair of trousers, a great quality tee and coordinated separates that can be mixed and matched in multiple ways. We’re huge believers in what we call the ‘jump-set’ (our deconstructed jumpsuit that delivers the polished look of a jumpsuit with far greater versatility). These are the pieces that become wardrobe heroes because they work for so many different occasions.

After years of styling clients, what are the biggest fashion frustrations women constantly come to you with and how has that shaped the brand?

The most common frustration we hear is, “I have lots of clothes, but nothing to wear.” Women often tell us they’re tired of buying pieces that only work for one occasion, don’t feel comfortable or no longer suit their lifestyle.

Another recurring theme was that women loved the idea of a jumpsuit but struggled with the fit or practicality. That was one of the inspirations behind our jump-set concept.

Those conversations shaped every aspect of Weartwo. We focus on comfort without compromising on style, timeless design over fast-moving trends, and versatile pieces that earn their place in a wardrobe. Every decision comes back to one question: will this make life easier for the woman wearing it?
