1 How has social media changed your life?

I have made some lovely friends, who live all over the country and who I would have never met and I get to share my love of educating and teaching people how to clean, organise and look after their homes. So many young people move out of their parent’s homes with no idea and I get a real sense of achievement knowing I have helped them.

2 What is your ultimate cleaning tip that shocks people when you tell them?

Used tea bags to clean up dirty dishes and pots and pans. This is so simple you just simply soak in water add a tea bag and leave the tannins in the tea to do the cleaning.

3 What is the worst cleaning tip/advice that people believe?

Soda crystals to clean the drain, soft crystals soften water and can be used in your washing machine but not to clean your drain.

4 What should we clean in our homes but often overlook?

Behind the sofa, cooker hood filters, door handles, light switches, tops of kitchen cabinets and underneath beds.

5 Have you noticed a shift in people wanting to use more ‘clean’ products?

I have and they are heavily swayed by cleanfluencers, I find it sad that people are buying everything that is promoted, it’s good for ‘clean-fleuncers‘ to share products but I think it’s important to stress only buy when you need It or run out of something.

6 Why do you think cleaning is so good for our mental health?

It keeps your body moving and your mind busy, so if you are feeling low it can help you take your mind off this situation.  Once a room is clean it gives you a great sense of satisfaction and achievement.

7 How did it feel to be asked to write a book?

Amazing, When I got the part of Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners I set myself a few targets and one was to have a cleaning book, I never thought I would have 4. [Queen of Clean – The 15-Minute Clean: The quickest way to a sparkling home]

8 Can you take us through the process of how you would clean your house on a daily basis?

Air the house, empty dishwasher, hang out laundry, clean kitchen surfaces, lounge tidy and vacuum, make the beds, clean bathroom sinks and toilets and at the end of the day vacuum high traffic areas and tidy. The key is little and often to help you stay on top.

9 How did you feel on your first day on This Morning?

Nervous but super excited, getting onto This Morning was my absolute dream, I never thought they would keep asking me back.
