Morden Hall Park – Easter Egg Hunt

An egg hunt is an essential part of any easter trip and the one offered at Morden Hall Park will not leave the kids disappointed. Taking place between the 6th-18th of April in the national trust site, located in southwest London, the whole family can make their way along the natural woodland trail within the park.

The woodland site is the perfect location for both adults and children to immerse themselves in all that easter and spring have to offer with the trail following alongside the beautiful riverbanks of Wandle. This peaceful parkland setting allows for a complete escape from the city’s busy and fast-paced centre, allowing the whole family to relax and spend some much-needed quality time together away from the hustle and bustle of inner-city London.

The West-End

Cinderella

London’s West End has plenty to offer all year. However, this easter the theatre is bringing back many classical musicals that will have all the family entertained. Head to the Gillian Lynne Theatre this April to see the world premiere of Cinderella and experience this classic film on stage, brought to life by none other than Andrew Lloyd Webber. What is more, you can watch stars such as Carrie-Hope Fletcher playing Cinderella and Victoria Hamilton- Barritt playing the evil Step-Mother.

Wicked

You can also experience another modern classic at the famous Apollo Victoria Theatre, Wicked, which is returning to the theatre this easter. Let the whole family lose themselves in the magical adventures taking place in the city of Oz and the friendship of Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West. No matter what the production is, a trip to London’s famous West End provides the perfect end to any busy day, giving all the family a chance to zone out and relax after a long day in the lively capital.

Horniman Museum Spring Fair

For a more active approach to Easter check out the easter fair at the Horniman Museum. Taking place on the 16th of April in this historic museum is the annual spring fair, with live jazz music, workshops, bonnet parades and competitions you are guaranteed a fun-filled and action-packed day. In addition to the easter festivities that are happening, you can also tour the beautiful gardens on the site.

Providing even more excitement for the kids as they can partake in the animal walk where you can spot all sorts of animals. There is also no need to bring a packed lunch with you as there will be various food stalls on-site to boost energy levels during a day that will be action-packed.  This attraction is also suitable for the budget-conscious traveller with children under-16 entering for free.

London Zoo

London Zoo is once again opening its doors to the public after a period of closing, therefore it is the perfect time to visit. Take the family on an animal hunt this easter and see who is the first to spot a new spring arrival. From giraffes to meerkats, there is plenty to see at London Zoo and everyone is guaranteed to be kept entertained for the entire day.

From Saturday 2nd to Monday 18th April, little ones can settle down to enjoy lively story-time sessions, before the animals leap off the page in our interactive trail around the Zoo.

Chelsea Physic Garden

There is an opportunity to take part in an easter trial at Chelsea Physic Garden where the family can take advantage of the four-acre grounds on the site. Once more, the natural setting of the physical garden allows for a complete escape from the bustling city centre, as visitors can walk along the easter trail within the gardens, offering the chance for some quality bonding time spent outdoors within the busy Easter period.

Furthermore, those who complete the trial will be treated with a chocolate treat or prize bringing the day to a sweet end.
