Classy Nail Trends.
When talking about classy nail trends we use the term trend loosely as Parisienne women don’t follow fashion or beauty trends. They prefer to find their own personal style that makes them stand out and that includes their nail designs. A weekly manicure would not be seen as a luxury or treat but more a necessary appointment.
Despite what most people think the French manicure isn’t the go-to for Parisienne or French women’s style of nails. For them, a French manicure looks as though they’ve made an effort or tried too hard and that is the complete opposite of French girl chic.
The Parisienne style is effortless and less is more. They try hard to look like they don’t try at all even the hairstyles are meant to look like they just got out of bed.
Parisienne women are known for looking chic and see their nails as part of that so you will never see her with chipped nails or tacky fake designs.
It’s all about the elegant style and looking your best all the time. Parisienne women stick to well maintained natural looking nails and pride themselves on looking well polished but that doesn’t mean that their nails look boring.
If you’re looking for some inspiration on classy nail trends then we’ve put together some beautiful nail designs for you and there’s not a french manicure in sight!

Classy Nail Trends – The go-to Shape.
The ideal shape to go for is usually short and square but you could also opt for a longer, rounder almond shape. Now if you’re like us and your nails split regularly or chip even with gel polish then you can always have acrylic nails put on. Just don’t go ridiculously long or get carried away with nail art designs. Remember less is more.

Classy Nail Trends – Colours of the Rainbow.
Depending on what we’re doing we usually stick to neutral colours like grey, nude or our current favourite bright white. However, as we said before natural nails don’t have to be boring! A gorgeous colour can update any wardrobe and a bold colour will really brighten your day.
Parisienne women love a pop of colour like a bright red to match their Chanel lipstick or pastel blue to match their Dior clutch bag. Just make sure that nothing clashes and everything looks good together.
Matte or Gloss?
There’s no right or wrong answer we prefer gloss as to us it always looks more polished but hey, that’s just us! If you love a matte nail then go for it’s all about personal style.

Classy Nail Trends – Polishes & Fakes
The great thing about nails is you can change your mind as often as you want. We love having our nails done as it makes us feel smart and completes an outfit.
Top tips for the perfect mani –
- Remove any traces of previous nail polish with nail polish remover and cotton pad.
- Apply cuticle oil to help soften your cuticles then with an orange stick gently push back.
- File your nails in one direction this will help stop your nails from splitting.
- Apply a base coat and allow to dry, then apply two coats of your preferred colour and allow to dry before applying your topcoat.
- Once nails are dry rinse under cold water. This will ensure your nails are completely dry and strengthen the polish.
- Match your toes to complete your look.
Here are some of our favourite nail polishes we love.
Fake Nails
Yes, it’s ok to wear fake nails even if you’re going for the natural look. If you struggle with painting your nails you can always opt for acrylic or set of bespoke press-on nails these are easy to apply and can be used over and over again. We have written a post on exactly How To Get The Perfect Mani At Home and how to apply them for the best results.
