Burberry London Fashion Week 2026

Burberry closed London Fashion Week with a show that was as much a cultural moment as a fashion presentation. Under Daniel Lee’s creative direction, the house leaned into its British heritage while drawing inspiration from music festivals, youth subcultures, and a rebellious sense of energy that set the tone for Spring/Summer 2026.

The setting alone hinted at what was to come. Guests filed into Perks Field at Kensington Palace to find a vast tent with blue-sky printed ceilings and a sandy runway, a stage-like environment that evoked the atmosphere of a summer music festival. When the first look appeared, it was clear that Lee was remixing Burberry’s codes rather than simply revisiting them.

The trench coat, that quintessential emblem of the brand, was cropped, cinched, and reimagined in metallic finishes and bold checks. Crochet dresses, chainmail fringe, and psychedelic prints gave the collection a sense of youthful rebellion, balanced with tailored outerwear that kept the house’s DNA intact.

Music was central to the mood, with Black Sabbath among the soundtrack choices, underscoring Lee’s reference points of British youth culture, from Quadrophenia to the hedonism of Glastonbury. The collection blurred the line between festival field and city street, suggesting pieces that could move from Kensington to Cornwall without losing their relevance. What emerged was a vision of Burberry not as a static heritage label but as a brand firmly rooted in Britain’s cultural present.

The front row confirmed the show’s star power. Alexa Chung , Iris Law, Poppy Delevingne, Lila Moss, Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders stole the show. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jonathan Bailey added to a guest list that felt both glamorous and grounded in the worlds Lee is seeking to capture.

As London Fashion Week drew to a close, Burberry proved that heritage and reinvention are not mutually exclusive. Daniel Lee’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection was a love letter to Britain’s past, present and future, reminding the industry why Burberry remains the crown jewel of British fashion.
