Who is Magda Butrym?
Magda Butrym is a Polish fashion designer known for her eponymous luxury brand, which blends modern femininity with vintage-inspired details. Launched in 2014, her label has gained global recognition for its exquisite craftsmanship, hand-embroidered pieces, and signature romantic yet edgy aesthetic.
Butrym’s designs often feature bold florals, ruched silhouettes, and statement shoulders, making her a favourite among fashion-forward celebrities and influencers. With a focus on timeless elegance and high-quality materials, Magda Butrym has become a key name in contemporary luxury fashion.
A Signature Aesthetic: Romance Meets Modern Edge
The Femininity in Bloom collection embodies Butrym’s signature style, fusing bold yet delicate silhouettes with artisanal details. Expect statement ruffled dresses reminiscent of blooming roses, sculpted tailoring with jacquard lining, silk headscarves, and floral-adorned accessories. Butrym has also reinterpreted elements from her archive, ensuring that the collection captures the essence of her brand while making it accessible to a wider audience.
“There’s poetry in the air,” Butrym described the collection’s mood. “That feeling when you walk into a room—it’s candle-lit, it feels melancholic and romantic. That’s Magda Butrym.”
The campaign, styled by Butrym’s longtime collaborator Jacob K., enhances the collection’s dreamy, yet powerful aesthetic.
A Commitment to Quality and Craftsmanship
Unlike many high-street collaborations, Butrym was deeply involved in ensuring the quality of materials. The collection features certified wool, organic cotton, and leather, staying true to her brand’s high standards. “I was genuinely surprised by the quality of the first samples,” she admitted.
Accessories play a key role, offering an accessible entry point into the world of Magda Butrym. The collection includes delicate floral earrings with crystals, strappy sandals adorned with blooming flowers, and scarves that evoke the youthful Slavic look that defines Butrym’s aesthetic.
A Collector’s Dream
As with past H&M collaborations, this collection is expected to become a collector’s item. Butrym envisions some pieces as future wardrobe treasures. “I think of them like my Sex and the City shoes,” she remarked. “I see Carrie in them, but I also see them on a girl’s shelf, like a museum piece.”
With its fusion of romance, craftsmanship, and modern femininity, Femininity in Bloom promises to be one of H&M’s most coveted collaborations to date. Fashion lovers should mark their calendars for April 24, 2025, as this collection is sure to sell out fast.
